Colin Goodfellow injury update after beat Missouri Tigers

The Kentucky Wildcats have had a season full of injuries, and they were a walking MASH unit going into Saturday’s game against the Missouri Tigers.

By the end of the game, punter Colin Goodfellow would be the second important player to suffer an injury for UK.

Goodfellow was able to recover a high snap on a punt in the closing seconds, grab the ball, and just barely kick it away while taking a hit from a Missouri defender. This resulted in a 15-yard personal foul, which gave UK new downs to further extend the clock.

Goodfellow needed to be carried off the field after the play because he was on the ground and clearly in pain. With just a few seconds left, UK was forced to punt, and Wilson Berry, a backup, made the kick and pinned the Tigers deep inside their own territory.

After the game, head coach Mark Stoops disclosed that Goodfellow had suffered a serious injury, but he would not specify what it was.
