Before the game on Thursday, the Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards have made their injury reports public.
The Dallas Mavericks and Washington Wizards will play on Thursday night in Washington, D.C., and both clubs have released their injury reports for the contest (as of 1:30 Eastern Time).
Davis Bertans, Tyler Dorsey, Christian Wood, and McKinley Wright IV are all out for the Mavericks.
The Wizards will be without Isaiah Todd, Jordan Schakel, Delon Wright, and Bradley Beal in the meantime.
Taj Gibson and Kristaps Porzingis are doubtful, although Johnny Davis and Vernon Carey Jr. are available.
Beal, the Wizards’ best player, has been out for the past two games.
The three-time NBA All-Star is shooting 52.1% from the field and averaging 21.6 points and 5.7 assists per game.
The absence of Beal increases the importance of Porzingis’ status for the game.
He enters the game with averages of 19.2 points and 8.2 rebounds per game, making him perhaps the team’s second-best player.
A key member of the Mavs is also absent since Wood will miss his second straight game.
He was traded by the Houston Rockets during the offseason and is off to a good start with his new squad, averaging 15.6 points and 7.8 rebounds per game while shooting 56.7% from the field and 46.2% from three-point range.
The Wizards are coming off a 108-100 victory over the Charlotte Hornets in North Carolina and have a 5-6 record through their first 11 games.
With a 6-4 record through their first ten games, the Mavs are off to a better start.
