Baltimore Ravens tight end Mark Andrews not spotted his second straight day of practice, which indicates that he is probably not going to participate. In his five-year career, he has never missed a game due to an injury, but Baltimore would be better off holding out Andrews.
The Ravens have a bye week the following week, so Andrews would get 24 days off between games and be healthier for the team’s remaining games if he chose to sit. Andrews would probably not start and Isaiah Likely would.
Andrews (knee/shoulder) missed practice this week after leaving the Ravens’ victory over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last week due to an injury. Before departing for New Orleans on Saturday, the team will practice once more.
Andrews is the team’s leader in receiving yards (488) and receiving touchdowns (five). The Ravens would turn to Josh Oliver and rookie Isaiah Likely at tight end and Justice Hill and Kenyan Drake at running back if neither could play on Monday. All three players have had good seasons.
