Ryan Tannehill, the quarterback for the Titans, missed the Kansas City Chiefs game on Sunday night due to an ankle injury. He was doubtful going into the game and turned out to be a game-time decision before rookie Malik Willis started.
In a defeat to the Chiefs, Willis went on to complete only 5-of-16 of his attempts while failing to find any of his wide receivers. The expectation is that Tannehill will play in Week 10, when Tennessee will play the Denver Broncos. If not, Derrick Henry will once more be the Titans’ offensive focal point.
During the victory against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 7, Tannehill sustained an ankle injury.
Tannehill and head coach Mike Vrabel both declined to guarantee that Tannehill will play this week, but the former did acknowledge that he would be suffering with pain for some time, which would indicate that even if he did suit up, he would play hurt.
Tannehill said that he will practice on Wednesday, though it is unclear how much. When the injury report is made public later, we will learn more.
