The 2022–23 regular season is entering its last week after numerous rounds of play, with Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs taking on the Las Vegas Raiders on Saturday.
The last victory, a 27-24 triumph over the Denver Broncos, extended Kansas City’s winning streak to four games. At 13-3, the team presently leads the AFC. To finish the regular season as the top seed and enjoy a rest in the first round of the playoffs, Kansas City must defeat the Raiders.
Contrarily, the Raiders are no longer permitted to participate in the postseason. In Week 17, the San Francisco 49ers defeated the Las Vegas team 37-34 in extra time. With a record of 6-10, the team is now ranked third in the AFC West.
Although the team’s season hasn’t gone well, the Raiders’ secondary has had some promising moments. Only twice this season has the defense allowed 300 or more passing yards to be lost. Their greatest performance during that time period came when they limited the New England Patriots to just 112 passing yards.
It should come as no surprise that Patrick Mahomes is crucial to the Chiefs’ growth. They are lucky that the quarterback is having a great season and has a good chance of taking home the MVP award.
